So this thing is going around where you add "And then the murders began" as the second sentence of any #book. So I'll do mine since it looks interesting. Kindling: “All right, filth, in you go.” And then the murders began. (Ha! Well, I mean, this pretty much sums up the story.) Waxing: Zahir pulled his cloak up around his face to protect himself from the stinging wind. And then the murders began. (Also extremely accurate with what happens in the next few chapters.) Devouring: Marietta paced the floor, white eyes darting first to Absalom and then to the door, the window, anything to keep herself from looking at him. And then the murders began.
